Fàilte, Welcome, my name is David Fleming and I’m a Scottish Bagpiper and inviting you to our dance event in Lenzburg.
As many of you know, I love all things Scottish and since I moved to Switzerland, I’ve realized that many Swiss people also have a huge love of Scottish culture & Music.
My passion is bringing Scottish culture to an ever-expanding community within Switzerland, having previously hosted events in 2012 and 2014, the last one being in the very well-known Lenzburg Castle.
Now, for my next event, I would like to introduce you to the world of Scottish dancing.

The Scottish Cèilidh (pronounced kay-lee) will be held in
Zurich on Friday, 17. November 2023
Lenzburg on Saturday, 18. November 2023
This evening is about participation, where you can dance with friends and learn something new. All dances will be called (taught to you) in both English and German.
Come and try out Scottish dancing for yourselves, but please don’t be too serious, if you make a mistake, it just adds to the fun!

The Liam Smith Cèilidh Band
Liam is originally from the east of Scotland and bases himself in Germany. The band regularly plays around Europe, and we are delighted to welcome them for our Cèilidh event.
Come and try out Scottish dancing for yourselves, but please don’t be too serious, if you make a mistake, it just adds to the fun!
Scottish Highland Dance performance by FloraDance
Lesley is originally from Scotland and is a trained dance teacher with her own Scottish Highland Dancing School in Lenzburg. Her dance crew will give us a live performance.

We have fantastic traditional Scottish food including Fish & Chips and Shepherds Pie. A full range of drinks will be available to buy at our bar in the foyer and run by FORK & BOTTLE.
